We offer 2 amazing Aquatic classes, great for those of you who completed our
aquatic physical therapy program and also those who want to take advantage of
the buoyancy of water to exercise safely and painlessly.

Both classes are led by one of our Physical Therapists, have small class sizes for
more personalized instruction, and held in a warm, shallow pool.

Which one is right for you? Perhaps both! Read on..

AquaFit Classes

A trained, licensed Physical Therapist leads you through exercises with an
emphasis on improving flexibility, strength, balance, core stability and overall
endurance. The water is waist -> chest depth and if you participated in our
aquatic therapy program you will recognize some of the exercises. Participants
must be able to walk into the pool using stairs and a rail, independently.

Who is AquaFit for?

This class is great for those with arthritis, pre/post joint replacements
and other surgical procedures, chronic pain, gait and balance difficulties.

When is AquaFit?

Each six-week session is held on Wednesdays and Fridays, 2:30-3:15pm

Ai Chi

This class draws upon ancient Eastern thought with regards to continuous, flowing, breath-centered movements that are of lower intensity and with a focus on alignment. This is a slower paced class that offers an opportunity for reflection and self-assessment of movement. Exercises integrate mental, physical and emotional energy.

Who is Ai Chi for?

Evidence-based research shows that Ai Chi is effective in the management of chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, anxiety, depression, stress relief, fibromyalgia, respiratory disorders, and gait and balance problems.

When is Ai Chi?

Each six-week session is held on Mondays, 3-3:45pm

My husband has severe back pain due to arthritis in his back, disc disease and weight working against him. Medication didn’t help that much and land therapy caused more pain…Thank you to Ms. Werner for her knowledge and patience in working with him. His pain is much better and he is able to get around a lot better. Thank you again for all your help and encouragement.
